I lay there silently.
I played there.
It was quiet.
It got loud.
I farted.
Then,
I left.
Like “She” said:
Follow the voice within.
It was a two-hour guided meditation about the creation of Earth, the moon and sky. During the part about a great eagle creating landscapes, I looked up at the studio skylight and saw a farting Sasquatch. There was a bird there too, so part of the story stuck.
A personal addition to the story made me chuckle with a hearty laugh inside. It wasn’t a laughing yoga class though, so I kept it quietly bottled until I reached the bathroom.
I didn’t really have to go. Oddly enough, I could feel that the girl two mats over needed a break. I glanced over and saw her shifty movement, that same mental struggle of leaving during a long meditation. Sometimes it helps if I do the thing we both want first. She followed suit.
I can’t explain how intuition works. It’s a repetitious voice that whispers into a shout until I follow. It’s my voice, and also not mine.
Some people call it Spirit. She always tells the truth. The more I follow Her, the more I trust Her.
Practicing mindfulness, sitting in meditation, getting out in nature – it all hones Her voice. Sometimes no words are required anymore. It’s become a feeling.
Two words stick though, “be present”. They are pictured here and on my wall. True. Very true.

The picture hangs crooked. It leans slightly to the right and catches my OCD eye every time. I leave it crooked for that reason. Perfection is elusive.
I crave the imperfect, yet I still compare myself to perceived perfection. I’m learning to name those stories as they rise, “comparing,” “competing.”
I slow-walk a running human race now. A lot of music and being out in nature really helps too.
Seeing a Sasquatch farting in a yoga studio skylight during meditation? That’s actually pretty normal.
It’s laughing yoga. It’s walking meditation. It’s playing the piano on a chain link fence. It’s walking my cat Max on a leash.
It is what it is. I am who I am.
The end. Until?
She speaks.
Again.
Signed,
another Sasquatch
