What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
Stop offering unsolicited advice.
You can’t hand someone a lesson they aren’t ready to hold. That’s not love, it’s just exhausting for both of you.
You don’t need the perfect story to change theirs. Just listen. Really listen, without planning your reply or waiting to be right.
Say thank you for the time you shared. Let them go in peace. Keep their story to yourself.
Be the lesson. Let them find their own path, and their own teacher, when they’re ready.
